And most importantly, understand the Leadership Coaching that can help this type on their Path to Leadership Maturity.

The Enneagram 2: Considerate Helper

Twos are known to be warm, friendly and generous. They tend to be service-oriented leaders who are focused on connecting to and supporting others. They are the first of the feeling triad and people often feel their beautiful, kind, empathic heart energy.

Impact on Others

  • “I feel supported and cared for by you.”
  • “I am inspired by your upbeat, always optimistic energy.”
  • “I feel engaged with you as my leader.”
Twos are great at building relationships and rapport with their teams and peers. They want to be in good standing with others. However, Twos can lose confidence if they are not appreciated or praised. This is their currency. Losing connection can actually compel them to try to give more, or do more, etc. This can result in Twos overstepping other boundaries without knowing it. They can also be so focused on others that they lose their strong sense of what they stand for.

Path to Leadership Maturity

Now, imagine you are a Two who is aware of your tendency to focus on others, and at times, lose your own strong sense of leadership Part of the growth path to Leadership Maturity for the Two is to balance the focus on what others want with what you want. Get clear on and communicate your own agenda. Trust your natural ability to have strong, connected relationships and understand others. Energetically, your team and colleagues likely cheer you on as you bring your big-hearted self to everything you do. Twos that come from that caring and connected space and step more confidently and fully into what they believe are the Twos that are on the path to becoming extraordinary leaders.
